The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for aligning IT objectives and programs to enterprise objectives and strategies. The VP, IT will interact with the enterprise and its executive team as enterprise leaders and drive new business initiatives.


The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience as a senior technology leader for a small to mid-size organization and have deep background in both business operations and technology.





Required Experience:


The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience performing the following:

  • Working with senior and executive leaders to understand operational and strategic needs – and identifying appropriate technology solutions to meet those needs
  • Leading cross-functional teams to implement and deploy technology solutions to business users
  • Managing a team of 10 or more IT resources in both operational and project capacities, and ensuring priorities are aligned to business needs
  • Building and maintaining relationships with service providers and vendors to optimize services and delivery on strategic priorities
  • Understanding and managing technology and business risks to acceptable levels
  • Developing and maintaining effective communications with multiple levels of the organization, including internal managers, senior/executive management, business partners and Board of Directors
  • Experience in supporting and enabling remote offices and field service employees
  • Experience managing/supporting a portfolio of custom-developed systems and software

Ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following skills:

  • Must have the ability and flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Must exhibit troubleshooting skills to address project-related issues.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are essential.
  • Must have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with flexibility to adapt to a high pressure, changing environment.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail.
  • Experience in communication with executive level management and Board of Directors.
  • Must enjoy working in a highly collaborative organization.


Minimum Experience – Must have 10 – 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.


Minimum Education – Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or information systems.   Master’s degree preferred.
